Class System Overview

The IoncraftersRPG server features 5 unique RPG classes, each with distinct abilities, passive bonuses, and prestige rewards. Your class choice determines your weapons, combat role, and playstyle. Each class has unique passive abilities and traits that scale with your level, making class selection a crucial decision for your character build.

Classes are designed to work synergistically with specific races for optimal builds. Choose your class based on your preferred combat style!

Available Classes

🛡️ Vanguard

Role: Tank / Control

The Vanguard is the ultimate tank class, specializing in protecting teammates and controlling enemy positioning.

  • Weapons: Sword + Shield
  • Passive: Resistance I (20% damage reduction)
  • +5% melee damage
  • Taunt: Force mobs to target you (8 block radius)
  • 20 second taunt cooldown
  • Perfect for team protection
  • Prestige Bonus: +5% class stat boost per prestige (P4 = +20% total class stats)

🪓 Berserker

Role: High-Risk DPS

The Berserker is a high-risk, high-reward damage dealer that grows stronger as their health decreases.

  • Weapons: Axes only
  • Passive: Strength I (+3 damage)
  • +0.5% damage per 1 HP missing (max +15%)
  • Lifesteal: 0.5% → 2.0% (scales with level)
  • -20% healing received (risk/reward)
  • Aggressive playstyle required
  • Prestige Bonus: +5% class stat boost per prestige (P4 = +20% total class stats)

🏹 Ranger

Role: Precision DPS

The Ranger excels at ranged combat with enhanced critical strikes and evasion abilities.

  • Weapons: Bow, Crossbow
  • Passive: Speed I (+20% movement)
  • Crit damage: +10% → +25% (level scaled)
  • Evasion: 3% → 15% (level scaled)
  • 30% crit chance hard cap
  • Maintain distance advantage
  • Prestige Bonus: +5% class stat boost per prestige (P4 = +20% total class stats)

⚔️ Duelist

Role: Dual-Wield DPS

The Duelist wields two swords simultaneously, dealing devastating damage from behind with enhanced evasion.

  • Weapons: Main-hand + Off-hand Sword
  • Passive: Haste I (+10% attack speed)
  • Dual-wield: 100% main-hand, 35% off-hand damage
  • +15% damage from behind
  • Evasion buff: +25% dodge on taking damage (3s duration)
  • -10% armor effectiveness (tradeoff)
  • Prestige Bonus: +5% class stat boost per prestige (P4 = +20% total class stats)

🔱 Spearman

Role: Reach / Control

The Spearman controls the battlefield with extended reach and powerful knockback, keeping enemies at a safe distance.

  • Weapons: Spear (Trident item) only
  • Passive: Strength I
  • +10% damage at ≥3.5 blocks range
  • Knockback: +15% → +30% (level scaled)
  • Control enemy positioning
  • Keep enemies at distance
  • Prestige Bonus: +5% class stat boost per prestige (P4 = +20% total class stats)

Class-Specific Features

  • Weapon Restrictions: Each class can only use specific weapon types
  • Passive Abilities: Every class has a unique passive that provides constant benefits
  • Scaling Traits: Many class abilities scale with your level (e.g., +10% → +25%)
  • Prestige Bonuses: Each class gains +5% class stat boost per prestige level (P1-P4 = +20% total). These bonuses only apply to class-specific stats.
  • Class-Specific Enchantments: Each class has unique enchantments that only work for that class
  • Class Kits: Get starter gear with /kit give [class] [rank]
  • Role Synergy: Classes work best with specific races for optimal builds

Essential Commands

  • /class list - View all classes

Progression System

  • Level 1-50 per class
  • Prestige 1-4 after reaching level 50
  • Each prestige costs 1,000,000 XP
  • Prestige: +5% class stat boost per level (P1-P4 = +20% total)

Additional Commands

  • /class abilities - View your class abilities and their descriptions
  • /kit give [class] [rank] - Get a class-specific starter kit
  • /kit list - List available kits
  • /kit info [class] - View kit contents for a class

Class Progression

Each class has its own progression system that allows you to unlock enhanced abilities through leveling and prestige:

  • Leveling: Progress from level 1 to 50 for each class. As you level up, your class abilities scale and become more powerful.
  • Prestige System: After reaching level 50, you can prestige up to 4 times (P1-P4). Each prestige costs 1,000,000 XP and grants a +5% boost to all class-specific stats.
  • Prestige Benefits: Each prestige level adds +5% to class stats incrementally: P1 = +5%, P2 = +10%, P3 = +15%, P4 = +20% total. These bonuses only apply to stats from the class system, not race stats.
  • Class Switching: You can change classes using /class change <class>, but your level and prestige progress is separate for each class.

Class Selection

When you first join the server, you'll need to select a class. This choice affects your gameplay experience, so choose wisely! You can view information about each class before making your decision using /class list and /class info.

Tip: Consider pairing your class with a compatible race for optimal synergy. For example, Vanguard pairs well with Dwarf for maximum tanking, while Berserker works excellently with Orc for maximum damage output.
